If you can self refer,
you can immediately schedule an appointment with
one of our orthopedic surgeons.
If a referral is required,
speak with your primary care provider about the
best course of action
for you. If your primary care provider determines
that you require more specialized care, ask him/her
to refer
you to Coastal Orthopedics and The Mid Coast Center
for Joint Replacement.
Most insurance companies have established procedures
for obtaining specialized medical services. It
is always a good idea to read your insurance member's
manual or contact your insurance company to find
out what services are covered and how to obtain
them.
