Construction Equipment from Harry Crooker and Sons is front and center outside the emergency department at Mid Coast Hospital. Site preparation is in progress to begin foundation work and relocate roads at the hospital in preparation for a $21 million addition for a new emergency room and new inpatient rooms.
A year ago, Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, Maine, received approval from Maine DHHS Commissioner Brenda Harvey for a $21.3 million dollar expansion. This week, board members, hospital administrators, department directors, and the construction manager ceremonially marked the beginning of the construction phase of the project with a ground breaking ceremony.
